1. Wait at least 1 hour after eating before beginning a far infrared sauna session.
 

2. Preheat your infrared sauna to your desired temperature about 20-30 minutes depending on the size of your infrared sauna and the ambient temperature. The most common temperatures  of sauna session for beginners will be in the range of 110° F to 118° F.
 

3. Drink plenty of water prior to sauna session and wear as little clothing as possible when entering the sauna as that will be helpful for infrared rays penetrate your body tissue directly. Place one towel on the bench and one more towel to wipe away for sweat. Remember to drink plenty of water or tea before, during and after the sauna routine.
 

4.After you start to sweat, a 20-30 minute session is recommended. Gradually, becoming acclimated to infrared heat, you can adjust the sessions to 25-45 minutes for each sauna session.
 

5.You may not perspire a lot during your first 2 to 3 sauna sessions, this is normal for many people as they haven’t had a recent history of perspiration.
 

6.If you feel stuffy or the sauna temperature is too hot for your comfort, you can open the ceiling vent or open the door for a minute to let fresh air in. If at any time you feel dizzy, sleepy or any discomfort, exit the sauna immediately.
 

7. After your sauna session is over, press the power off and sit in the sauna with the door opened to relax and cool down while your body continues to sweat, wait at least 30 minutes before taking a warm shower.
